Hello Kitty Cafe is similar to Garfield's Diner and Garfield's Diner Hawaii but with another childhood favorite cartoon character and pals handling the daily cooking/serving duties.

The gameplay is slightly different than the Garfield's Diner games in that food is prepared at the bottom of the screen and then delivered to customers. Garfield sat the customers at the station and cooked the food there. While not sounding like a big deal, this slight gameplay change does impact the feel between the two. Think Capcom vs SNK fighting games. Similar in style but quite different in execution.
