Herc's Adventures | Lucas Arts Forgotten 1997 Action Adventure Game
Herc's Adventures is an action-adventures game released for the Playstation and the Sega Saturn by LucasArts Entertainment in 1997. The PlayStation version was released internationally, but the Sega Saturn version was exclusive to North America.
Neither good nor bad, the game is much like this video; it is something that exists.
Players up to two can pick among the three ancient Greek Heroes; Hercules, Atlanta or Jason, who are on a quest to defeat Hades and save the Goddess of nature, Persephone.
The characters pick up various weapons and items while progressing the journey, including pepper breath, frost breath, lightning which when hurled towards a target blasts it with electrical energy from the sky, boar traps, flaming spears, bombs, an evil Pandora's box, shrink doll and period-accurate laser guns.
The Friday night kebab will increase your health bar, and each hero has a second strength bar that depletes whenever your character runs or picks up and carries an object. Both your health and strength need to be increased by buying lessons from a strength trainer or finding red hearts throughout the game.
Every time the players die, it doesn't necessary means that the game will be over. Instead, they are sent down to Hades underworld and are tasked with fighting their way back to the exit in order to get a chance to continue. The more they die, the far further away they are sent into the underworld, while increasing harder to fight their way out. However, 5 times and you're done mate.
