Valve shared more details and images of its in-development Steam Machines. It's essentially a computer shaped like a box. Valve said the reasoning behind making the prototype was to provide a frame of reference for third-party Steam Machine makers. And as announced earlier this fall, 300 lucky people will be prototyping the machine this winter.

The Wii Mini, previously available only in Canada and Europe, will be available to consumers in the U.S. this month. The stripped-down version of Nintendo's previous-generation console will cost $99 and come bundled with controllers and a copy of Mario Kart Wii, all to the tune of $99.
