0https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?style=14&t=46438 I won't sugarcoat words here, Heretic Wads/Mods will be filmed on a less frequent basis vs Doom Wads/Mods as I've been hard pressed to find standout wads and mods and the quality can range from some diamonds here and there to wow, fuck this bullshit. But I'll scrap together what I can to assemble seasons.
This mod is by osjclatchford and goes back to August 2014, with it's final build being dropped on November 28th 2018. Quake Descent Into Hersey is the heretic experience but sprinkled with Quake's atmosphere, weapons, and sounds (while not, surprisingly, having any monsters from said game), And for this mod I see the effort though your shotgun you start with has really weak pickups which are a single shotgun shell.
The inventory system was changed to reflect on quake such as Usable quad-damage which was found in Quake II, and single use medkits, The overall mod does do a good job of making quake appear within the modified heretic engine and, despite it being canned for further releases, I found it to be a good time sink.
