Which brings us to this 3 Episode megawad replacement by Caleb And Doom_Warrior, Its one of the more polarizing releases I've gone over so far.
Given a honor at the 2012 Cacoawards as a runner-up, Masters Of Chaos was released on June 24th 2012, It's story acts as a continuation of the ending from Episode 3, A new enemy named "Voltrog", A former serpent rider has begun to drain the energy of this planet with 3 chaos crystals and it's Corvus' job to bring them down.
There is 5 new weapons included in Masters of Chaos but none of them really feel like solid weapons vs the original armory that I know well from the base game, and the weapons come from a site that.. I do not like which is Realm667, I've seen way way too many mods and wads which use what seems like the same monsters over and over. MoC does have some "customized" versions of Heretic monsters, some that appear from HeXen such as the Wendigo and 3 new bosses.
The name of the game in Masters Of Chaos is massive massive maps, MoC has by far some of the most detailed, expansive, maps I've seen yet though these maps lack at times any visual clue of where to go next, or I missed a key because of it blending into the background, The 3rd episode of MoC does a lot of traps that remind me of the expansion episodes and it was getting tiring, Its a alright megawad but a endurance fest on high skill levels.
