Heroes of Byzantia Session 10, Part 2 | D&D 5e Live Play
2Join me and a couple of my friends as we relive our first Dungeons and Dragons campaign, with characters who are both familiar and unfamiliar, in a homebrew world that I've been refining in my head for a long time. I DM the world building and some characters, one of my friends DMs everything else, and we all three just do our absolute OK-est to get through encounters that are probably too much for us at our level and skill.
The main characters are:
Johan, a druid from a secret conclave who is desperate for allies, but slow to trust.
Zack, a paladin who is kind and collected at his core, but shows a darker, more desperate side when faced with the object of his vengeance.
Dowroc, a Dwarf artificer who goes out into the world to prove, and learn about, himself.
Megan, a PC that we developed from a random NPC during the old version of this campaign, and now we can't imagine playing without her.
We play pretty fast and loose with the rules. If something is cool, we can probably do it (if the dice allow), and we sometimes get loosey goosey with action economy in ways that you'll pick up, but our builds are suboptimal, and we tend to punch up, so it evens out.
