Hibow is a battle royal game that feels very much like it has come straight out of rec room. this is a last person standing fight to the death, armed with just your bow, arrows and a handy katana.

The game starts with you being able to customise your character or randomly generate one, then name yourself, then it is onto the game mechanics. The game does its best to simplify everything by introducing you to the movement and combat through a handy tutorial, during which time you will learn about the different arrow types, from the ones that aid you moving around the map using grappling or teleportation arrow heads, to the various combat ones, from plain old arrow heads to explosive ones.

Once you feel you are ready it is on to the main event. As with any great battle royal you start high above the map viewing the island laid out below you. You are dropped in using a glass elevator and if you turn you are able to see your opponents dropping in to. Once you land a barrier begins closing in around the island and it is a free for all and you can choose whether to go after your opponents, never a wise move, or my method, try to explore a little and avoid contact until the last knockings and try to win the battle at the end.

Combat is unfortunately seems to be divided into two camps, there are those like myself that tend to stand and fight, unleashing arrows into an opponent, then there are those that constantly teleport back and forth, hoping that you will use up all your ammo before picking you off.

The game mechanics work okay, although I found picking up items a little finicky, you have to be quite exact with your pointing and the movement feels a little disjointed, which when in combat with an enemy can leave you trapped trying to search for a surface to teleport onto.

Overall this is a fun attempt at a battle royal game on Quest, it is colourful, the maps are well laid out and interesting to explore, you find plenty of health and arrows lying around. would be great with a group of friends.
