9 years after I started playing Touhou, my first Lunatic 1CC. Took me long enough, eh?
HSiFS is probably the most unusual Lunatic mode in Touhou, especially with the Autumn Subseason. Bullet dodging does play a part in it, but timing the Season Releases correctly is far more important. Autumn creates a small force field that moves long with you and cancels all bullets it touches, turning them into items that fill up the next Release charge. You basically want to do this as much as possible, so you can clear everything out of the way before having to dodge it.

One thing to note about the Autumn Release at this point: The invincibility wears off quite quickly, much quicker than the cancelling field. Which means you can bodyslam into enemies and superdie while the Release is still going on. This tricky acrobatic move is also sometimes called the "EUUUURRRGH NO!", after the noise players make when they do it. Don't worry, you'll see a few performances of it in this run. I won't spoil when, though.

The Stage 4 portion is very dangerous, even with Releases. Very easy to overlook a stray bullet and get boinked. The boss is mostly trivialized by Releases; the second spell is the only real threat.

The Stage 5 bosses are a collossal threat to any run on 1CC pace. Quite a few of my runs have trainwrecked there - the high bullet speed and the odd angles they come at you from make many dodges very uncomfortable, and Behind Festival is just pure, unadulterated bullshit. The dancing star bullets are one of the worst things ever implemented in Touhou and I hope ZUN feels at least a little guilty about them. Probably not though, since he brought them back in Violet Detector. :P

Stage 6 is then simply a test of how well you can time your Releases and manage your resources. Basically, if you have to actually dodge any of Okina's pre-final attacks, you're doing something wrong. Black Snowman is notoriously bullshit to capture without Releases, and IIRC even some of the other Seasons struggle with it quite a lot. Not so with Autumn though, if you can get close enough to the spawnpoint to fill the gauge back up. Keyword being "if". I failed it on the third Release and promptly had to bomb it down.

Lastly, the final spell in the game depends on which Season you pick as your sub shot. The Autumn final is very confusing and nerve-wracking, but it is still by far the best choice for me to end a first 1CC on. Adrenaline spikes and nerveousness are unavoidable, and I do NOT want to deal with the Spring or Summer finals in a situation like that. Spring only gets brutal from phase 3 onward, but in phase 4 it becomes one of the hardest patterns in the entire Touhou series. Summer is stupid right from phase 2 onward, and gets at least as ridiculous as Spring near the end. Winter is very tame, but includes tight micrododging, which I can't do under this kind of stress.

Anyway, back to the Autumn final: Dodging in the center is possible, but very dangerous. It's safer to alternate between the sides - Okina always moves the same way, so you can memorize which direction to dash to first, and then simply alternate between them. You still have to do some uncomfortable dodges, dashing to the other side is tricky, and phase 4 is really hard, but overall the strat is very safe. Good luck doing it under first-1CC pressure though. Maybe next time :^)
