High Tide - Original Game Soundtrack | Brackeys Game Jam 2024
3A calm electronic soundtrack I made for "High Tide", a game made for Brackeys game jam 2024, in which you have to survive incoming tsunamis for as long as possible!

The two tracks play in the "building" phase, during which you manage your resources and prepare your defences. I also made another track for the "storm" phase, but it's very short and nothing particularly note-worthy, and I wanted this video to be chill all the way through, so I didn't include it.
The first track was a bit of a challenge, surprisingly - I didn't really know what to do in the second half. I knew I needed to change things up a bit, but how exactly wasn't clear. I kinda ended up brute forcing my way through by trying a bunch of stuff until I was satisfied, lol. The big theme of the track is obviously the huge synth coming in and out, like a wave. And the reason why I went with an electronic style and not an orchestral style was that it worked better with the art style. I just felt like violins and such would have been "too much", you know?
Anyway, the second track, on the other hand, I made in like an hour. I came across a nice sounding synth patch and everything kinda fell into place very quickly, which was quite satisfying.
All in all, these two tracks might not be anything particularly mind-blowing, but I'm still very satisfied with them. They sound comfy. Hope you enjoyed them too :)
