4An energetic electronic track I made for a game jam!

The goal was to make a fast-paced puzzle/platformer where you control a slime and use the environment to kill all the enemies and reach the end of the level as fast as possible. We took inspirations from Kirby and Neon White. For the music specifically, I took inspiration from the latter (DnB with many switch-ups and whatnot). The main difference is that the vibes here are more light-hearted, and so I decided to place more emphasize on the chords as opposed to the textures.
Since the lab the game takes place in feels futuristic, I of course used lots of synths that give off that feel - but I didn't want to go full cyberpunk either, so I had to strike the right balance in that regard.
All in all, fairly different from what I usually do... Which is great, I love to try different stuff. The end result sounds pretty decent, too, so that's definitely a plus!
