Highlander: Warborn (story in Description as always, part 7)
3Hjalmer had won the battle....he killed every single last one of his people that raided his castle, he had slain them like all others before them and at the castle keep lay the corpse of his former self, the young highlander who had challenged him, Hjalmer was no longer able to live a life of peace, he would be hunted by knights, Samurai, Vikings and he would not be able go return to his sacred home because of the murder of his own, with his wife and child gone, with his Brother in safe harbour soon he decided if he would experience no peace, then he would wage war, he burned the cape and the Symbol etched on it, the mark of a berserker, of the beast he once was burned to ash, flung to the wind like a pale ghost, he crafted a new symbol, he fashioned it and etched it into the cloth of the younger highlander before equipping it to his back, A lone sword bloodied with the blood of hundreds to the point the sword was blood itself, surrounded , trapped and being plunged into the roots of it's enemies, a lone sword surrounded by a many thousand of it's opposition.
The Monster of Ashfeld, The Celtic curse, the beast if Rokfelheim, the thundering giant, they all died that fateful night, Hjalmer was none of these things any longer, for it was no longer war that shaped him, it was no longer battle he craved and lusted for, he was reborn, he was warborn, forged in the fires of death, His sword called to him, vibrating it's dark intention to be out to use, to stab at the heart of his enemies. Hjalmer was alone among the castle walls, alone with this dark presence.
And so he arrived on Samurai soil, their grand structures towering in the distance while he came to the swamp, it was time to wage war on their home, to destroy them with his fury, to break iron and bone alike.
The sky thickened with the fires of war and Hjalmer looked to his sword and felt it calling, stroking it's blade before putting it go his back, hand on handle.
War Has Arrived, Death approaches and all you can do is watch as it takes all you hold dear samurai, because you did not let this monster have his peace and so like the peace you took from him he will take from you.
