I spent an inordinate amount of time editing this video. The previous one might've seemed like overkill, but you don't know what it means until you've seen... Stage 9.

If you follow the Extreme Route to its logical conclusion and then beat Nagoriyuki under the same conditions: two rounds to zero... your "reward"... is Stage 9.

If Stage 8 Nagoriyuki breaks all the rules as it is, where can we go from there?! Well, for starters, even more HP. Make those Potemkin Busters cry, for there will be no quick victory here. Also, the part where Nagoriyuki loses his Blood Rage perks and then has to let them refill? Let's get rid of that, too. Infinite Blood Rage!

Plus all the rest, where he gets bizarre amounts of extra invincibility, absolutely no price to be paid for his unlimited use of special moves, and even a few extra perks that I wouldn't have even thought of myself. Yeah, that's good. Fair and Balanced!

Fair warning... my reflexes and judgment was really starting to slip at this point, so... don't expect things to get BETTER from here on out... and my whole plan of an "easy" Arcade clear goes up in smoke like that, anyway.

The reward for beating Stage 9? A trophy. Or achievement. Or whatever you call it. Super problematic for people who put stock in such things... especially when it comes to having an extra cheevo for getting all the rest. Oh, the poor devils.

To my knowledge, there's no need to worry about pulling a perfect set against this monstrosity, as the game only cares to find out if you can beat it at all. Twice. In one match!

At any rate, let this be my monument to failure and a stern warning against those who would try to do this on a whim, as I did.

Apparently I wasn't TOO far off the mark, though... the key to beating him seems to be a general vulnerability to grabs (aren't AI opponents usually super cheat-y and input-read-y about that kind of thing, though?!) and it especially helps if you abuse the ages-old bygone privilege of repeatedly pausing and unpausing the game to "slow" time and get some extra insight and breathing room in the whole ordeal.

(Is it weird that I've got "Crawl" stuck in my head now?)
