This boss has taken the longest so far in the run due to my insistence that I beat him hitless. While this boss is still a top 5 for me in this game, he does probably have the highest amount of jank so far. Before that I will say that his phase 2 transition is a glow up bordering on Ludwig's transition with maybe a bit less narrative impact. I love everything about it including the unavoidable damage as it helps convey just how bad your situation is and makes the player feel dread. Phase 2 is also so good at being relentless, if you roll away he will instantly jump on you with a charge or fly by.

Now I will list Mohg's jank for posterity's sake. Most of it relates to the arena and tombstones:
- For the fly by, the bloodflame throw has minimum distance, so if he jumps back into a wall or tombstone, he will throw the spray behind you if you are too close to him (which is the direction you typically want to roll).
- He can aimpunch his attack over tombstones, so if he swings over a tombstone he will swing way above it and alter his swing arc, which will kill you if you are trying to dodge with a jump or strafe
- The tombstones and urns can cause the bloodflame puddles to collide and drop in weird random spots unbeknownst to the player as the blood animation will fly like normal.
- He can simply get stuck in the tombstones and start freaking out and throwing blood everywhere
- Because of this, it seems that he is hard coded to attack if you are in range the second he backpedals into an obstacle, ignoring the brief period you have to attack him in neutral with a jumping R2 before he can fire up a swing or a bloodflame talon.
- the stairs can mess with which attacks you can low profile or jump, but also they can prevent you from getting riposte grabs and of course affect where his bloodflame spray lands

This is from my infamous "Suck it Anderson" Elden Ring challenge run. I always nickname runs so they aren't such a mouthful, but basically it's a Zweihander only, RL1+0 build. The point of this run is for me to have fun mastering the bosses while showing that anyone with two eyeballs and a heartbeat can learn the bosses, and to show that colossal weapons are better now than they have ever been. The posture system is a better incentive to playing aggressive than the rally system ever was tbh.
