Hollow Knight Randomizer Run Part 1 - The Incredibly Long Journey to Dash
3,298Trying out a combination of the randomizer mod (which switches up abilities, spells, and charms locations with each other) and the enemy randomizer mod set to chaos (which randomly changes enemies to another type each time you enter the room) and seeing how it all goes. Not so much a challenge as done for fun. There are glitches that occur (such as the game locking up at 17:29, requiring me to restart from an earlier point without the game saving) and a few points where the triggers to open closed doors for gauntlets don't activate, requiring me to use the no clip cheat to move on.
So there are... issues with these mods. But they are quite fun, since I obtained dash slash immediately without being able to dash. I also got double jump and acid resistance early, but without any capacity to dash or wall jump my exploration options become somewhat limited.
If folks want to see more of this I will finish out this run and upload the rest.

13:53 Desolate Dive obtained
17:22 The Collector breaks the game
