Hollow Knight tabletop RPG with Letters (Highlights)
21This video's been a long time coming. All of this was recorded over two years ago, and I just never wanted to actually bother doing anything with the footage because I knew it was going to be a pretty long ordeal to get through it all.
The basic concept of this campaign is explained at the start of the video, but basically, Letters was writing a Hollow Knight fanfic, and I made a game around it for us to play together. I would be DMing and also playing Quirrel, while she would play Lyn (her OC from the fanfic) and Tiso. I also wrote in a very elaborate twist to be revealed at the end. If I was able to just show off the twist on its own, I honestly would, but you kinda need the context leading up to it, and rather than give the bare bones, I tried to show all of the best moments.
General knowledge of Hollow Knight will probably make this more enjoyable (since you'll be able to get the references and stuff) but shouldn't be completely necessary.
Visuals in this are sparse, with some major chunks of nothing but black screen. I'd say that it could be listened to as background noise, but I do have text explaining stuff occasionally, and some parts do at least have something to look at, so uh... I guess it's best to have off to the side so you can look over at it when necessary. Sorry it's kind of awkward that way, but that's kinda how DnD stuff goes, and I sure as hell wasn't going to spend ages trying to make entertaining visuals on top of the editing I already did to bring this down from 18 hours to 2.
