69 years ago British soldiers came face to face with the horrors of the Nazi death camps. As allied forces began to liberate survivors the true scale of the systematic genocide of millions of Jews was revealed to a shocked world.

One woman who survived the ordeal is Gena Turgel. She was incarcerated in three concentration camps, survived a trip to the gas chamber and was forced to march between camps in bitterly cold temperatures.
