Homemade pasta and wine sauce
2Making my own pasta for the first time.
INGREDIENTS:
Pasta:
2 cups of flour
1 Tbs of olive oil
1 pintch of salt
3 eggs
Sauce:
1 Tbs of butter
3-4 slices of bacon
1 onion
rosemary
1 clove fo garlic
red wine
1 Tbs of flour
salt and pepper
Instructions:
For the pasta mix all the ingredients together in a bowl to make the dough. Let it rest for 30 min. Cut in ot 4 pieces and make elongated strips as thin as you can. fold it on itself as seen on the video and but in very thin pieces. Springle some flour so they dont get stuck. Cook in boilign water for 3-4 min or until done. Cooking time will vary depnding n how thick the pasta are made.
Topping: Add butter in a saucepan, the garlic, onion, bacon adn rosemary and cook until grispy. The put it on the side.
Sauce: Melt some butter and add the flour to makle the base. Let the flour cook for 1 min add the wine. Once you have nice homogenous mix add water to bring to the desited constistancy. Add salt and pepper.
Serving: put the desired amoutn of pasta on the plate, poor some sauce and add the bacon mixture for texture. You can top it up a yellow cheese of your choise. The sauce has an intense wine taste so dont put as much as you would with a normal tomatoe sauce.
Mistake made:
Pasta was not let to rest due to stream time restrictions
Pasta needed to be thinner
Pasta needed to be cut in smaller strips
