I've made several battery operated cardboard vehicles but never a wire controlled one so I figured I'd give it a shot. I got the idea for the controller from a video posted by Indian LifeHacker : Science, Art & Magic & it works out pretty good. Has 2 motors for left and right rear wheel and each turns independent of the other forward or reverse. Goal was to just build it out of the most basic stuff as possible.
