Hong Kong Day 1 - The Peak
16This was our first day in Hong Kong during the last few days of Chinese New Year 2024. Flight was not too long, not too short, quite comfortable. Waffles at Plaza Premium Lounge KLIA 2 is good, we love it, our kids love it.
Upon arrival, my aunt Jamie was already waiting for us. We took the bus A11 from Airport to Wan Chai were our Hotel is. Kids enjoyed their first double decker bus experience. We stayed at Dorsett WanChai ( @dorsettwanchaihongkong4658 ) Booked together with our flight tickets. So super comfortable!
First stop upon arrival was The Peak (Victoria Peak aka Mount Austin). We wanted to catch sunset but by the time we wasted some time waiting for bus, sun already set. We took an Uber up. Not as expensive as we thought it would be, around 90 HKD. The view from up there is beautiful, a MUST VISIT in Hong Kong. Coming down is a bit tough because Taxi and Bus stands are full of people. We took Uber again but this time much more expensive, around 160 HKD.
We had dinner near our hotel in a local Hong Kong restaurant. Very very delicious and affordable, but I couldn't read the name in Chinese so I took a video, be sure to check it out. Stay tuned for Hong Kong Day 2 - Disneyland.
