The Trailblazer happens to meet with his luofu's canine companion Diting whom woofs him with a tone of Urgency. And with the help of March 7th, the Trailblazer figure out Diting asks him to check the Port for a recent changes.

There, he found a recording log left behind by Yanqing, the Retainer of General Jing Yuan. The entirety of companion quest then revolves around the transpiring event from Yanqing's point of view.

He was under reconnaissance mission of investigating the captive blade's whereabouts after he escapes from the commission. While looking for leads around the port, he happenstance to meet a blindfolded woman who seem to be harmless surrounded by the Mara-Strucks.

Little that he know that the blindfolded woman possess much more than meets the eye.

For the blindfolded woman before him is not a powerless civillian. But none other than the Jing yuan's teacher in the olden days.

Her name is Jingliu and she is Yanqing's grandteacher.

In the heat of the swordsmanship contest, the gap between the Yanqing and Jingliu is just a plain sight to the eye. The only moment where the grandstudent doesn't dissapoint her is his last movement when he used his ultimate.

Jingliu however still dont have the opportunity to unleash her ultimate.
The sword that is unsheathed demands for it's sharpness and beauty to be witnessed, attested, a halfbaked deed won't just do.

And so the grand teacher sets her eyes to Yanqing, complete with the intent to unleash all that is her sword and elegance to him into pieces. For with yanqing's prowess, he will just end up an untimely demise by blade. So what better choice would it be to have a dignified end by witnessing a perfectly refined arts of a true swordsmaster.

The elegance of a perfected swordsmanship that have been refined over thousand times weighs heavily in this one single slash.
With a single glance, Yanqing knows if the swordwave connects, that'll be the end of him.
His whole life staked on his blade, Yanqing challenges the swordwave and succesfully sliced in two, sparing his flesh away from the hitbox of the attack.

Even with the sword held high, it took all of his might to deflect that one blow.
Totally gasping from breath and defenseless, he is open for any fatal blows. Yet none of that happen. The swordsmaster have escaped. And Yanqing is resolute to chase her.

That's where the record ends, trailblazer and March then submits the log to general Jingyuan. Jingyuan then reveals that Jingliu is his teacher in the olden days.
