Hornby VSOE Orient Express Pullman Carriages Boxed Set Review (OO Gauge) HD
This is a review of the Hornby VSOE (Venice Simplon Orient Express) Pullman Carriages that come with the "Orient Express" Train Set. These were split from the boxed set and I got a good deal on them for £50 including delivery. The coaches are in OO gauge which is 1:76 scale and they are nicely detailed inside as well as featuring working table lamps which illuminate whenever there is power to the track as the lamps have LED's which are linked to rectifier for those that use DCC. I used my Heljan Class 58 to test the handling of these carriages as I don't have anything suitable to run my Orient Express with. This will change in the future as I am getting a Class 67 by Hornby at the end of the year hopefully as they are making a super detailed Class 67 for their 2011 range. But staying with the original subject, I will be buying some more of these Pullman Cars to make a 10 car train over time. The carriages in this pack are named Minerva, Cygnus and Ibis.
