Hotline Miami Soundtrack Edit 1
7After yesterday's Reddit request and seeing my friend Jimmy make an edit for himself I decided to try and make a quick story edit for Hotline Miami 1, will be replacing every track that is used twice (all the songs in the game will be there but I'll be replacing ones that get used again and moving them around)
I'll also be trying to remove the coma scenes and leaving them until the very end. Sadly I can't remove all of them like the fat guy in my apartment or me blowing Biker's head off but I'll have to just try and ignore moments like that.
Anyway sorry about the frame rate in the corner at times, forgot to turn it off, will disable it for later parts
Home Theme - Deep Cover by Sun Araw
- Chosen because it's the default home music and it fits that crude and meaningless lifestyle Jacket has currently.
The Metro - Voyager 2015 by Jasper Byrne
- Simple song that works well with this level, also wanted to use something that could connect to the Fans and using an edit of their first theme seemed good.
No Talk - Hotline by Jasper Byrne
- Rather simple theme so I threw it into this level since not a lot happens in it
Overdose - Crystals by MOON
- Used because I felt it fit here better with the image of the dead operative who failed his mission, it's overall not a very calming or smooth song, MOON said he wrote these songs during a dark time in his life and they were very angry, with that context I felt it more fitting with this image of a broken man.
Decadence - Deja Vu by Scattle
- I wanted to use something more menacing sounding for this level as it's the scene of a director and a drugged up and broken prostitute on his bed. The house itself holds some fucked up things so I felt this could work well here and I liked it since I used it in last night's edit.
Boss Theme - Release by MOON
- Standard boss theme, good for Bum
