House of Wax (1953) - Red Triangle Reviews (FT: Channel 83)
17This week! I celebrate the 5th year of halloween specials by opening a wax museum dedicated to showcasing some of the worst crimes to humanity! YES. we're documenting youtube drama and preserving it in Parafin! BUT! im not alone in this venture! My good friend and host of the Channel 83 Podcast and Youtube channel has joined me on this venture. He keeps telling me I should burn it down and claim the insurance. but these creations are like my CHILDREN. I couldnt possibly do it! Not without turning into a burnt faced Psychopath and going on a murderous rampage!
Anyway; enough of my private affairs! today! we kick off our ULTRA special Halloween showcase by taking a look at 5 films in the career of one Vincent Price! in a wonderful *Trademarked* series im dubbing "The Price is Fright!" and to kick things off both me and Chris are taking a look at the 1953 3d extraviganza "House of Wax"! join us for, what is at the time of publishing our LONGEST review to date! as we chat Price, 3d and all things spooky!

Synopsis:
Professor Henry Jarrod is a true artist whose wax sculptures are lifelike. He specializes in historical tableau's such a Marie Antoinette or Joan of Arc. His business partner, Matthew Burke, needs some of his investment returned to him and pushes Jarrod to have more lurid exposes like a chamber of horrors. When Jarrod refuses, Burke set the place alight destroying all of his beautiful work in the hope of claiming the insurance. Jarrod is believed to have died in the fire but he unexpectedly reappears some 18 months later when he opens a new exhibit. This time, his displays focus on the macabre but he has yet to reproduce his most cherished work, Marie Antoinette. When he meets his new assistant's beautiful friend, Sue Allen, he knows he's found the perfect model - only unbeknown to anyone, he has a very particular way of making his wax creations. —garykmcd
