Driller Killer (1979) - Red Triangle Reviews
This week! The hustle and bustle of city living has grown WAY too much for me and after a string of insufferable events finally get the better of me, I invest in a portable Power pack for my rather lovely drill and take to the streets to work out my aggression on the homless citizens of my neighbourhood! My therapist says what im doing is "Abhorrent" but I just think he doesnt really understand MAAAAAN.
Anyway; while im being deprogrammed why not check out my review of the 1979 video nasty thats...actually quite a bit better than most would have you believe Abel Ferrara's "Driller Killer" a film with a Box art cover that basically defined the Video nasty era of UK home video.

Synopsis:
Reno is an artist struggling to survive in NYC. He draws inspiration from scenes of daily street life and occasional random violence. Under pressure to finish his oft-delayed grand masterpiece, his psychotic alter-ego takes over and he begins killing random vagrants to boost his creativity, not quite realizing that it is happening in reality. When an art dealer grimly rejects Reno's finished masterpiece, Reno's mental condition quickly deteriorates. —Elfin Slade
