UNO HOUSE RULES:Just like normal UNO, each player is dealt seven cards and takes turns matching a card from their hand to the top card on the discard pile. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins, but you must declare UNO when down to one card to avoid drawing additional cards.
Here’s where our house rules come in. Matching numbers, symbols, +2, and +4 cards can be stacked. When attempting a stack, they must call out how many of a particular card they are including. Stacked cards must be placed simultaneously without pause. With the exception of +2 and +4 cards.
When stacking +2 and +4 cards, a player must allow their opponent to match the initial plus card before placing the rest of their stack. If their card is matched, they must draw the appropriate amount of cards from the deck.
When stacking cards, players can attempt to hide the cards being stacked with the exception of the top placed card. Opposing players can call out a stack if they feel like their opponent is lying about the content of their stack.
If a call out is correct, the stacking player must show the challenger the cards included in the stack and return them to their hand. If a call out is incorrect, the challenger must draw the number of cards included in the opponents’ stack.
If you stack your cards in an incorrect order, it will result in a foul and you must draw 2 cards.
Reverse cards are treated as skip cards. If a player places a card out of turn, it will result in a foul and they must draw 1 card from the deck.
Once a player down to one card, they must declare UNO before the opponent takes their next turn. Once all the cards in a player’s hand are gone, they must declare UNO Out to end the game. Failure to do either one will result in a foul and they must draw 1 card from the deck.
