In this video we're going to take a trip through the basics of how a computer functions. We'll start out with an explaination of what a CPU does, why processors have gone multi core rather than increasing clock speed, then explain what the purpose of the basic 5-stage CPU pipeline is (Fetch, decode, execute and so on).

This video is intended to give you the basics of all of these stages, but if its well received we can put put another video going into more advanced topics.
