You’ve probably heard it said that golf is a fantastic sport for getting connected with nature. 12 miles from downtown Sacramento, though, there is a course where nature reaches out to connect with you.
Ancil Hoffman Golf Course, which was built inside a public park, is different from your typical municipal course or your traditional country club. The fairways are lined with trees, and deer or wild turkeys wander onto the course to bask in the shade. On an average day, locals will bring their dogs out for a walk alongside a championship-level course.
Here is a story of course!
