How Big is the Map in Red Dead Redemption II? Let's find out by walking from the northeast corner of the map to the southwest. We will reach New Austin, the area in Red Dead Redemption 1. In RDR2 this area is a dangerous zone where you get shot. So this is where the journey stops. We skipped New Austin in this video. I walked across the map again, but then INCLUDING NEW AUSTIN and in first person view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fm5sLHzrT0&t=9083s.
If you would walk from the northwest to the southeast of the total map in RDR 2 it would also take about 1 hour and 45 minutes. the map has a shape of a square if you forget about the RDR 1 area, New Austin.
