To change any button on your PS5 controller with custom assignments, follow these steps:

Turn on your PS5 and make sure you are signed into your user profile.
Go to Settings:
From the PS5 home screen, navigate to the gear icon in the top right corner to enter the "Settings" menu.

Select Accessibility:
Scroll down and select "Accessibility" from the list of options.
Navigate to Controllers:
Within Accessibility, select "Controllers" from the left-hand menu options.
Custom Button Assignments:

On the right side, choose "Custom Button Assignments for DualSense Wireless Controller". This option works for the DualSense, DualShock 4, and some third-party controllers as well.
Enable Custom Button Assignments:

Toggle on "Enable Custom Button Assignments" to activate the customization feature.
Customize Button Assignments:
Select "Customize Button Assignments". You will see a diagram of your controller on the screen.
Remap Buttons:

Choose the button you want to remap. For instance, if you want to change what the "Square" button does, select "Square". A list of other buttons will appear.

Select the new function you want for that button. For example, if you want "Square" to function as "Triangle", select "Triangle" from the list.
Note:

You cannot remap the PS button, Create (Share) button, Options button, touchpad, or the mute button.

The system does not allow assigning the same function to multiple buttons simultaneously, nor can you disable buttons or save multiple presets.

Save Your Changes:
After you've made your desired changes, select "Apply" to save your new button layout.

Resetting if Needed:
If you want to revert to the default layout, you can either go back to this menu and select "Reset" or turn off the "Enable Custom Button Assignments" toggle.
