How to Fix TV Flicker on PS5 Pro console with Transfer Rate Setting
To fix TV flickering on your PlayStation 5 Pro console by adjusting the 4K Video Transfer Rate setting, follow these steps:
Adjusting 4K Video Transfer Rate:
Access PS5 Settings:
From the home screen of your PS5 Pro, navigate to the gear icon in the top right corner to open the "Settings" menu.
Go to Screen and Video:
Scroll down and select "Screen and Video."
Navigate to Video Output:
Within "Screen and Video," select "Video Output."
Change 4K Video Transfer Rate:
Look for "4K Video Transfer Rate" in the list.
By default, this setting is on "Automatic." To fix the flickering issue, you'll need to change it to either "-1" or "-2":
-1: Limits the output to:
4K 120 Hz, 4K 50/60 Hz RGB/YUV444 DeepColor, 8K 60 Hz output (for CFI-7000 model group only). When displaying 4K HDR content at 50/60 Hz, YUV422 or YUV420 color format is used.
-2: Further limits the output:
4K 120 Hz, 4K 50/60 Hz RGB/YUV444, 8K 60 Hz output (for CFI-7000 model group only). When displaying 4K content at 50/60 Hz, YUV420 color format is used.
Try setting it to "-1" first, and if the issue persists, change it to "-2".
