5Dungeonology: The Expedition is a gorgeous and atypical dungeon crawler in which you take on the role of a scholar gathering as much information as possible about the people who live in the world of Nova Aetas. The scholar who managed to collect the highest number of points will present the best thesis on the studied race and will become the new professor of the faculty.
I love dungeon crawlers in general and the twist #dungeonology brings to the idea I find quite refreshing, your main goal not being fighting monsters but gathering knowledge. This leads me to one of my favorite things which is that in each game the knowledge cubes you have to collect have different values and that is a secret information until you fulfill a personal goal. I'm not a fan of the take that mechanic but I felt that in #dungeonologytheexpedition most of the time it's more worthy to keep your cards for your own benefit rather than use them to steal or block other players so choosing your game style is up to you.
The artwork is super adorable and the game is beautifully produced which I found to be true for other @ludusmagnus.studio games as well.
The minis are very detailed and really nicely done so I just can't wait to get them to the painting table.
