Can you believe we’re actually going to get a Snyder Cut of Justice League? That’s crazier than a whole room full of Jokers! After months and months of heavy campaigning and fan demand, Zack Snyder is going to release his version of the film on HBO Max. We already know there’s going to be a ton of changes, but the biggest will probably be the role for the Lord of Apokolips, AKA Darkseid.

Darkseid’s role in the Justice League movie is the entire film’s biggest question mark as we don’t know for certain exactly to what extent the villain will factor into the movie’s plot. We know he’ll be in the film’s history lesson opening scene, as well as in the Knightmare future timeline that was first seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but will that really be enough to do justice to his character? What could Snyder’s Justice League do to fully make the Lord of Apokolips a terrifying threat that not only challenges the Justice League, but also will be strong enough to stand apart from comparisons to the MCU’s Thanos?
