Sodium cyanide is quite useful in chemistry, but it's probably best known as a poison. When used in chemistry, it can be a bit scary to work with because of its toxicity. However, what I find surprising, is that it still takes a decent amount for it to be dangerous.
WARNING: Cyanide is EXTREMELY toxic and dangerous. It was handled very carefully in this video. DO NOT recreate anything you see.
