How Do We Know Megalodon Is Extinct? | Meg Files
Over the last few hundred million years, plenty of supersized sea serpents have slithered silently through the sea. Many of these bulky behemoths have bested the biggest benchmarks of beastly breadth with the currently known award-winner being the blue whale. Aside from this mammal of titanic proportions, plenty of other animal groups have tried their best to beat it, with some at least reaching the biggest size of their class. One of those was the mighty megalodon and its magnificently massive remains have been meticulously measured through the misty fossil record leaving one, among many, questions – why did it disappear?
