Part 2 of my series on Trip Hawkins and the creation and downfall of EA. This video focuses on the launch of the John Madden Football series, Electronic Arts reverse engineering the Sega Genesis, and Trip eventually stepping down as CEO of EA to create the 3DO, before he was finally forced out of the company entirely.
Is EA a bad company? Perhaps today, but back in the 1980's, I believe they really helped push the industry forward. I'd like to think if they still had Trip Hawkin's ideals leading them, we wouldn't see Electronic Arts as a bad company like we do today.
