Energias de Portugal (EDP) looked to Google Cloud to revamp its communications app. EDP generates, distributes, and trades energy, and its app manages all kinds of messages for its customers and partners. By moving the app to Google Cloud and using App Engine, EDP not only created a DevOps culture but also greatly improved the app’s performance and user experience—resulting in an app store rating jump from 1.9 to 4.7.
