Runescape is an old RPG, so even though it's received hundreds of updates over the years, the grindy nature of the game is still omnipresent. Getting every skill to 99 will take some time. I don't know how committed I'll be, but I want to try this anyway. How quickly can I take a fresh account to max. With no external help from another account and no handouts, how much time and effort will it take to step foot inside the Max Guild?
I'm not looking to break any records or show off. I'm just curious what it would be like to be a long-time player using his knowledge to level up a new character in 2021, twenty years after Runescape was first released.

I love being able to throw on a YouTube video, or a series, that can function as background noise while I'm doing my own thing. Maybe I'm grinding in an RPG, having something to eat, or just trying to go to sleep. But there's a lot of gaming content on YouTube where the hosts are loud and startling.
