X-Men Legends is an action RPG that released for Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2 in 2004 and N-Gage (Yes, an actual N-Gage game) in 2005. It allowed you to select and control a team of four X-Men. You could select that team from a roster of 15 X-Men. It was very successful and led to a sequel: X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse. It also paved the way for the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games.
