After the move to Japan I'm still in the process of unpacking and getting all my gear in the right place, but for now I thought you might like to see the current evolution of my game recording setup. I've switched to a GoPro/external mic for the main camera while my Surface Pro 2 remains my main PC for the 3DS viewer software from KatsuKity. I'm also using the iPad as a video camera preview and it also makes it easier to change the video settings like frame rate etc.

Anyway, just a simple look at what it looks like to record gameplays for NihongoGamer. It's not a million dollar studio, but then again, you don't need a million dollar studio to make videos :) I hope this helps for anyone keen on creating their own channel!
