How I Learned TTRPG Terrain Crafting Part 10: How To Cut Tiles for the ULTIMATE MODULAR Cave System
Welcome back to Not Working Crew Media's Learning to Craft TTRPG Series, in this weeks episode, How I Learned TTRPG Terrain Crafting Part 10: How To Cut Tiles for the ULTIMATE MODULAR Cave System, This is part 2 of the mini series covering this project, and we are going to take raw foam, and I show you what I learned on how to make PERFECT Squares, cutting the shapes needed for the system, and how I chose to mark and texture my tiles.
This series has one thing that will be key for all the people following:
I AM A NOOB at making terrain and this is a video log of my journey.
I believe fully that it's fine to be new at something. It's fine to start out terrible at something. It's fine to fail, because you learn something every time you try. In this episode I discuss what my research has lead me to purchase to start crafting terrain, and why some of those items are essential.
I will continue the series with the basics of crafting foam, Carving and texturing, base coating, getting a sandstone or grey stone brick effect, and wood texture and painting. This will take you through all the basics of how to build floors and tiles for future projects. It doesn't hurt that it might just be the cheapest, best-looking, most versatile dungeon flooring where you are not spending your money on expensive resin dungeons or on a 3-D printer!
Thanks for being a part of my journey and this part of my adventure!
