How Much Realism is Too Much In Video Games & Fantasy Fiction?
4,801Some elements of realism can be found even in the most outlandish fantasy scenarios, and some games are even built on it to an extent (sports and racing simulators are an obvious example). It can add to the experience by enhancing immersion or introducing complex, engaging gameplay mechanics (most survival sandbox games do that to some extent). But when does it become too much? Here is is my personal take on that.
