If you are thinking about mining cryptocurrencies, here is a bit of first-hand experience of mine. I have been mining ethereum (ETH) for since June 2017, so it's been about 8 months. In that time, I've had it running on and off, and total on-time is about 3 months. I have 2 GTX 1080Tis and 1 GTX 1070. When I bought these, my entire mining setup cost me a bit less than $3000. To buy this same equipment today would cost $5000 or $6000. To date, I have mined about 0.87 ETH, which equates to about $931, according to minergate. I ran this system non-stop for the past 2 weeks, and went from about 0.6 ETH in my account to about 0.67 ETH. Therefore in these two weeks I mined about 0.07 ETH, which is worth about $66, meaning I made about $5/day of mining. With 2 1080Tis running 250W TDP, and a 1070 at 150W TDP, electricity costs would be around $1-2 a day. Hope this video was informative, and let me know if you have suggestions for future videos.
