How RIL Derived At Reliance Retail’s Value Of Rs 1362? | ET Now
2Reliance Retail’s equity base stood at 899.5 crore equity shares and the promoter – RRVL – owns nearly 99.91% stake. This means that the company aims to buy back 0.09% of equity from public shareholders. RIL had appointed E&Y and BDO to calculate the valuation of Reliance Retail. E&Y valued Reliance Retail at Rs 884/share value, while BDO valued it at Rs 849/share.
RIL decided to go ahead with the highest value of Rs 885 per share. However, the company also decided to compensate the small shareholders with the tax burden to make sure that they get the entire value ascribed by the valuations experts.
