2,980Super Mario 64 is one of the most competitive speedrunning games out there, but strictly competing doesn't generate new ideas, it instead tries them out.
Today, I look into the "other side" of SM64 speedrunning, that is, the side that works on tiny timesaves like lag reductions, movement optimizations, and so on.
