How Tariffs Kill Anime Figure Collecting
Tariffs have hit so I thought I'd discuss them while unboxing some preorders. Honestly, the 145% is really bad, definitely a lot worse than how I make it sound in the video.
There's a lot of conflicting information so if there are any inaccuracies, let me know.
Not affected by tariffs, must be both:
Package(s) less than $800 in short timeframe
Not Made In China, HK, Macau

Extra Thoughts & Notes:
145% will probably fall, but I don't think free trade will return, possibly ever. Given how early this is taking place in the presidency, there's more than enough time for working infrastructure to be setup to collect on tariffs and to incorporate them into the budget. I'd assume we're being hit with an insane 145%, so a future & permanent 10% doesn't look so bad. Unless tariffs annihilate the economy within the next 4 years, there will be very little reason for any future policy makers to repeal it. Hopefully I'm wrong on this but who knows.
If you're looking to dive deeper, HTS Code 9903.01.20 onward is pretty much where everything starts. Some of the codes like 21 are exceptions to these tariffs, but they're incredibly specific and irrelevant to the average person afaik.
