How the First Wave of Free Choice Making Will Affect the 2023 NFL Draft
The first wave of NFL free agency has come and gone. Once it emerged that Chiefs offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. had the free agency waters tested. his potential market was intriguing — especially when combined with Browns insistence that that he should stay on the left. The Bengals eventually won the right to award Brown to a four year. $64 million contract with $31 million in guarantees. while Brown didnt quite get the contract he was asking for . the Bengals emerged victorious. being upgraded to a key position with a well above average to good left tackle in the starting XI. and doing so with an extremely team friendly deal that essentially boils down to a two year deal Eagles sign a foursome from defensive vets newHow many players the defending NFC champions lost on defense eren was a compelling subplot upon entering the free hand. How This Could Affect the Draft The Eagles have two first round picks in this years draft. including the No. 10. They looked like they needed to replenish a potentially depleted defensive group. so the return of two contributors to their defensive line and their both cornerbacks in the starting XI is a great opportunity to find answers for the coming season. It also kept options open for whatever Eagles want to go in the draft. Cornerback may no longer be necessary. but safety and linebackers are points the Eagles could explore. Epps joined the Raiders and fellow security CJ Gardner Johnson is still available in the free agency market. leaving Philadelphia with question marks on security positions.
