How to access files from SATA hard drives through USB and why your adapter might not be working
Welcome to another episode of "Ben's Tech Support!" In this episode, I will show you how to access files from SATA hard drives using an external USB adapter. I will also show you why your USB adapter may not be working with a 3.5 inch drive. It is most likely because you need to use an adapter that requires external power, while the laptop drives and SSDs receive enough power through USB alone.
Here is a link to the USB adapter that does not require external power (for 2.5 inch SATA and SSD SATA drives only)
