Adding your phone number to your Roblox account is critical in case you ever get locked out of your account. After you successfully add and verify a phone number with your Roblox account, in the event you get locked out of your Roblox account you can have a code sent to your phone number that will enable you to reset your password and regain access to your account.
Now let's walk through the steps to add a phone number to your Roblox account.
Step 1. Open a web browser, navigate to www.Roblox.com, and then sign in to the Roblox account you want to change the password for. Alternatively, if you're using the Roblox mobile app for iPhone, iPad or Android, just launch the app. You'll land on the Roblox home screen.
Step 2. Click the "Settings" icon at the top of the screen to open a menu, and then click "Settings" in that menu. The Roblox My Settings screen is displayed. If you're using a mobile device you can get to the Settings screen by tapping the ellipses icon in the menu bar along the bottom of the app, and then tapping "Settings" in the menu on the next screen. The Roblox Settings screen is shown. Going forward the instructions to add a phone number to your Roblox account through either the Roblox website or mobile app will be the same.
Step 3. Make sure "Account Info" is selected in the menu on the left side of the screen, and then find "Phone Number" in the Account Info section on the right side of the screen. Click "Add Phone" to the right of the Phone Number field. The Add Phone window pops up.
Step 4. Click the first drop-down field and choose what region your phone number is in. Enter your phone number in the second field. And then enter your Roblox account password in the third field. Click "Add Phone" after entering this information. The Verify Phone window is displayed.
Step 5. A 6-digit code will be texted to your cell phone. Enter the code you received in the "Enter Code" field, and then click "Verify." You'll return to the My Settings screen, where you'll now see your phone number in the Phone Number field, with the word "Verified" after it, indicating that you've successfully verified your phone number with your Roblox account.
