So in this episode I go ahead and replace the cylinder cover gasket and show some tips on how to adjust valves and look at timing. This is a very important maintenance procedure that a lot of people just don't look into. It can result in reduced performance or worse valve damage resulting in engine damage. This same procedure also applies to the Ninja 250 as well as I have opened the cover up on that as well and it is set up in the exact same format as the 454 is. Now these are just tips, If you don't feel comfortable doing this have a shop take care of it. But if done with enough patience and care you can do it yourself. I've put thousands of miles on this bike after this video was taken and have had no known issues as far as the engine goes due to a maladjusted valve. Hope this helps.
