How to Adjust Tooltip Delay in CIVILIZATION VI
14How to adjust how long you have to keep your mouse over a tile before additional information is displayed via tooptips in Civilization 6. Text instructions below ▼▼
How To:
1. Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Assets\UI\ToolTips (this is default, your location may vary if you changed the default install location for Civ 6)
2. Locate and open the PlotToolTip.lua file with notepad
3. ctrl+f and search for 'pause' without the quotes
4. Change the decimal value of "local TIME_DEFAULT_PAUSE :number = 1.1" to something faster (eg 0.2 for 200 miliseconds)
5. Save the file, relaunch Civilization 6, and you're done!
The above instructions are for Windows, I do not know how to do this on Mac OS. If anyone body knows please leave a comment with the instructions below and I'll edit this description to include the steps for Mac OS as well.
